RE: CHURCHILL on CHURCHILL -- About the author
I grew up in Cortland, N.Y.where I attended the “Normal School,”
Cortland Jr. Sr. High School and after 4 years in Uncle Sam's Navy,
I received my B.S. from the State University of New York at Cortland.
I received my M.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana and the PhD.
from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. I retired from The University
of Maryland, College Park in 1992 where I was the major advisor and
dissertation chair for over 15 Ph D. graduates. In 1994 my wife, Jule Beaudry
Churchill, accepted a position as a financial aid counselor at a small
university campus in southern Germany. I went over to be her “hausman”.
I soon grew tired of cooking and house work and bored with beer
and sausage in the market platz every day so I researched and wrote the
script for CHURCHILL on CHURCHILL. We returned to Maryland from Germany and
in the summer of 2000 moved back “home” to Cortland County where I remain at
EIGENHOF II, 1797 Mountainview Drive, Homer, NY 13077. My wife died on 11
September 2005.
